Using The Stars This Brilliant Kid Might Just Have Found A Lost Mayan City
People always think that kids say the darndest things, but how often do they really take into account what they’re saying? Children are actually a lot smarter than most people give them credit for. Seriously, their minds are much less tainted with societal standards, overbearing opinions that they’ve been forced to listen to and biased news that is supposed to educate and inform people rather than work to convince them of something. They have the most unique imaginations and that alone helps them come up with amazing ideas and interesting ways of looking at things.
When you take all of that into consideration, it’s actually no surprise that 15-year-old William Gadoury in Quebec found what might be an undiscovered Mayan city. However, that wasn’t his only big find. He also may have discovered why all of the Mayan cities are in their exact locations in the first place. Basically, he might’ve just connected the dots for some very important cultural information.
Can You Say Genius?
The teenager found what could be a city by mapping out the other Mayan cities and correlating them with relevant constellations. No one has ever thought to do this before, but it might make tons of sense seeing as how no one really knew how or why Mayan civilizations chose their land. Since some of the land wasn’t ideal for crops or was extremely far from rivers, it was always a mystery. That’s what made him start digging for answers in the first place.

Now Gadoury might be responsible for finding the fourth largest Mayan city ever and thanks to satellite pictures confirming what looks a pyramid and building structures, it’s almost a sure bet!
