This Throwback To Scottie Pippen Surprising Michael Jordan Will Make You Wish You Had A 90s Time Machine
There was a time before Twitter groupies and men flopping all over the place that the NBA was about basketball. The Miami Heat had their “Big Three” in Tim Hardaway, Alonzo Mourning, and Dan Majerle. In the 90s, the paint was ruled by Hall of Famers Hakeen Olajuwon, Patrick Ewing, and Shaq. But of course the 90s wouldn’t be complete without the Chicago Bulls.
The Bulls are known for having one of the greatest NBA dynasties, winning six championships between 1991 and 1998 with TWO three-peats. All six championship teams were led by Michael Jordan, Scottie Pippen, and coach Phil Jackson. They’ll never been a team like them regardless of what all the Kobe Bryant and LeBron James lovers say.
So when NBA fanatics see these legends nowadays, it’s a throwback to them. Recently, Pippen surprised his former team mate during Game 7 between the Charlottes Hornets and the Heat. Since Jordan owns the Hornets, it’s only fair that he sit in a luxury suite. The two seemed extremely happy to see each other, sharing several laughs and hugs.
Ain’t Nobody Like Them
It was hard to hate the Bulls back in the 90s because they paved the way for Bryant and James. Not only is Jordan first NBA player to become a billionaire, but he always played a game like it was his last. Pippin and Jordan gave 110% every night (remember the flu game?). They had the will to win and that’s what makes it so great when fans get to see them embracing each other decades later.
