Sneak Peek: Idris Elba Voices Shere Khan In ‘The Jungle Book’ And It’s EPIC
The upcoming and highly anticipated live action adaptation of The JungleBOOK that premieres on April 15 features a star-studded cast of voices like Scarlett Johansson, Christopher Walken, Lupita Nyong’o, Bill Murray, Idris Elba, and many more. The casting for the movie is exceptional, with the voice actors matching perfectly with their characters. For example, Idris Elba as the tiger Shere Khan, seems to be a match made in heaven. His deep, sultry British accent fits the mighty tiger character.
Idris Elba has recently voiced a character in another Disney movie, Zootopia. Some other movies he’s stared in include Thor, Pacific Rim, and Prometheus. He always seems to play powerful characters, which makes him a good match for Shere Khan in The JungleBOOK.

He’s So Fierce!
Lucky for you, Disney has released a sneak peek of Idris as Shere Khan. His thundering voice is mighty and frightening as he confronts a scared Mowgli. In this scene, the tiger is hot on Mowgli’s scent and tells him, “I can’t help but notice there is a strange odor today… Man is forbidden!” Elba delivers his lines sinisterly, matching well with the antagonist.
